But for the smallest detail nothing beats a dime sized bar! Most chainsaws are factory supplied with a  three eighths inch .375 sprocket. However, dime bars require the use of one quarter pitch chain with a matching sprocket. So to use a dime tip bar normally the sprocket will need to be changed to one quarter inch pitch.
